Object Name Switchboard
Description Switchboard terminal, wood an metal desk style telephone switchboard - 555 PBX. Desk back or switchboard has a black phone receiver at left and at center are the connections and lights for each room. Below this are the cords and plugs used for connecting a call, some are red, some are gray. To the right of the cards are the split key and the BUZ and BAT keys. Below the plugs and cords are the black lever keys. The desk top is black and has a telephone dial on the right. Below the desk top on the left corner is a plug in for the receiver, 2 plugs and also a plug in for a phone and a bell with loudness control.

Marks: the front of the switchboard has many numbers and other information stuck on it - such as "Dump 6-6478/ Hospital 586-5311/ Mountain Bell Business Services Center 441-6000" There is a small black metal plaque which reads "Bell System/ made by/ Western Electric" above the switchboard. Also above the plugs and cords is a black plastic plaque with white lettering which provides instructions for operating the switchboard. There are 4 yellow circles on th desktop below the lever keys - from left to right they read "1 5 10 15"
