Notes |
Mrs. Scott has been painting the mountains and plains of the West since 1932, but in living and traveling with her husband, Professor Ewing C. Scott, has had the opportunity of depicting the differing landscapes of Brazil, Taiwan, Japan, and Hawaii. Since her husband's death in 1965, she has sketched in several countries on a 9-months trip around the world. In recent years she has turned to printmaking as her principal medium, and has found the sensitivity of the lithographic stone particularly well suited to expressing her love of texture and form. |
