Description |
Souvenir post card packet of Estes Park and area. Each card has the location printed on face. Envelope is yellow cardboard with two flaps that fold in and larger flaps that slide together. Front has oblong cut out which one of the views can be seen through. Printed text on envelope reads, "Souvenir Photo Views / Estes Park & R.M. Nat. Park, Colo." To / From lines on reverse. Entire booklet is wrapped in white paper with "Tucker" written in black ink on front. Likely four small scenes were printed on one post card and then cut; for some have "post" and "message" on back; others have "card" and "address" while others are blank. There may have been as many as 24 cards. On one card of the switch backs on Fall River Road - it reads "Scortch Back" that slips into a slot on the other. On front side an oblong hole through which one view can be seen. Views include: Switchback on the Fall River Road, Estes Park Village, Timberline Trees on Longs Peak, Longs Peak from Twin Trees, Shelter House, Timberline Trees, Beaver Dams, Horseshoe Park, Enos Mills Hotel / Longs Peak Inn / Meeker, Longs, and Lady Washington Peaks, Rocky Mountain Sheep, Snow on Fall River Pass (11,797 Ft.), Longs Peak from Boulderfield, Longs Peak & Range from North, Entrance to Rocky Mt. Nat'l Park, Timberline Cabin / Longs Peak, Estes Cone. |
