Seven color prints lined up as one image, with a grey and green matte. Panorama image features Twin Sisters to Rams Horn and Prospect Mountains. View is directed towards the approximate location of the Earl of Dunraven's English Hotel, the foreground across Fish Creek is the present-day Estes Park Golf Course. The perspective is intented to recreate the view from Bierstadt's painting, "The Rocky Mountains," looking towards Longs Peak. Ralph Read, photographed the series, showing that Bierstadt's perspective was accurate. Read identified each peak and its elevation. |
