Sepia toned portrait of Shep N. Husted in an ornate collar of the IOOF (Independent Order of Odd Fellows.) Husted was a homesteader here and ran the Rustic Hotel. He also was a renowned guide and climbed Longs Peak over 900 times. Marks: "Shep N. Husted/ Initiated Jan 12, 1911/ Past Grand July 1, 1916" written in pen on a white paper stuck to lower left of print. |
