View of Lamb's Ranch, which became Longs Peak Inn. Longs Peak and Mt. Meeker in the distance, and a collection of buildings in foreground, separated from a large field by a fence. Marks: On reverse in blue ink "Cousin Carlyle [Lamb] guided groups up to Long[s] / About this time Enos Mills came and / as hired man. Later worked as guide / Filed on his homestead over on the / Twin Sisters. Was able to buy the [Longs] / Peak Inn from the Lambs later." On reverse in ink and pencil "Donated by / Mrs. Genevieve Seitz / Houston Texas / whose family homesteaded / across the road from Covenant Hgts on Hwy 7". Stamped "F.E. Baker / Photographer / Greeley, -Colo." Sepia, glossy, no border. Mounted on heavy board. |
