Description |
Man's vest, front of gold & brown brocade, lined with gold satin. Back is gold satin oval lapels, double breasted opening with 4 button holes and 8 metal shank buttons with elaborate design. 2 pockets( watch pocket type). Material frayed at inner edge of left pocket. Label at back of neck: "Saddle Sturdy Brand, Manufactured by Glenshore, Denver, Colo. "against sketch of bucking horse and rider against back ground of cactus and mountains. Donor wore this as part of his attire during parades in 1957 state celebrations. Apparently in commemoration of first permanent European settlement in Colorado. he appeared in his position as Exec. V.P. of Estes Park Chamber of Commerce. He also managed Elkhorn Lodge and Range Restaurant (now Roth's). Items were purchased by donor. |
