Description |
Pair men's leather (light brown) 14.1 cm high boots with 9 metal eyelets. No laces. Boot lined in natural canvas with tongue attached to 5th eyelet and then free but unlined. Boot has a modified "Pac" construction in that back seam ends at ankle but toe piece has been stitched on. Sales have a few worn hob nails but many are missing leaving holes. Where sole rounds out from instep there are three brass screws into sole. Heels have 5 heavy nails in center and there are edging nails all around heel even on the instep side. Also by the nails are square headed brass nails holding leather heel on. Marks: ON right boot on lining on outer side stamped "1001 52936". On left boot on lining on inner side stamped "1001 52936" On lining of left boot on outer side a black and white patch 4.3 x 3.6 cm reading "Official Shoe/ Boy Scouts of America Headquarters New York" going around the Boy Scout Be Prepared seal/ The Excelsior Shoe Co/ Manufactures/ Portsmouth, Ohio" |
