Description |
WWI Mauser German single bolt action infantry rifle. Wood stock adjustable sights, dust cover over muzzle. Cleaning rod inserted under barrel. Has safety catch. Place for attaching bayonet and metal slots for carrying sling. Steel butt plate, some parts of steel blued, others not. Marks: "Deutsche Waffen und / Munitions fabriken/ Berlin/ 1916" Inside chamber "90" and manufacturers mark. "5906" in a couple places and other numbers about on the metal firing chamber. Also "GEW98". 5906 seems to be serial number |
