Light brown ellipitical shaped ball made of pig skin with rawhide (?) lacing. Indentation caused by lack of proper amount of air. Small hole with words printed on skin- " Moisten needle-inflate to 13/185." In black ink: Estes - 17/Windsor - 0/1945 State Quarter-Finals." Wilson Official KR Notes: Football used in 1945 quarter finals in High School football. Estes Park High School won the championship in 1942, '43 and '45 during the war years because draftees were gone or returning vets were older. In trophy case for 50 years. |
