Description |
Objects collected from the site of Dunraven's Estes Park Hotel, also known as the English Hotel, which burned in 1911. Objects were collected on October 15, 1946 by Jack Moomaw. Objects include hardware from the hotel (room numbers, door latches), buttons, utensils, a tobacco bag, cufflink, nails, and two bottles. One of the bottles is an English ginger ale bottle (called a torpedo bottle), and probably dates to 1872 or 1873. Collection was assigned a single catalog number and has not been cataloged on the object level. Smaller pieces include: 48 pieces of colored glass Assorted metal objects including bowl, small knife, hinges, bolt, hooks, button, drawer pull, weight, key 17 pieces of pottery 33 pieces of miscellaneous melted things Object name "Fragment Collection" added to lexicon 03/28/2005 sle 11/2005 -Restricted - Included in Tracks in Time--Foundations of a Community exhibit area are several of items described above that need to be classified: 2 soda bottles 2 spoons 1 fork room number (#10) |
