Description |
Walnut dresser with large rectangular mirror on back - top of mirror frame is intricately pieced & carved with a crown like decoration at center top & 2 smaller ones , one on each side of main one - sides of mirror frame are also decorated & each side has a small shelf with sides which slope down ward - the right shelf has a decorative piece beneath it , hiding it's support - the left one is missing - dresser is vanity style which means it has 2 small drawers on each side of mirror & is lower in front of mirror - tops of dresser were probably covered with marble at one time as the wood on the top is not walnut but quality wood - there are 2 large drawers in main body of dresser - all drawers have groove design running horizontally along top & bottom of front with brass pulls - pulls are loops attached to diamond backings - center of 2 large drawers have brass diamond shape key locks - below these are carvings - sides of dresser are slightly recessed - porcelain double casters Note: Early date is approximate |
