Description |
"The National Park Story in Pictures", by Isabelle Story, describes the National Park System in the United States. Contents of the booklet include information on the history of the National Park Service, land donations to the Park Services, plant life, park rangers, visitor accomodations and the elimination of private inholdings. It includes many photographs of varying sizes from National Parks across the country. Half of the front cover and the back cover is a forest green and off-white image taken in Glacier National Park. There is a forest green block on the right side of the cover with the title in off-white text. Printed by the US Government, the booklet is a 1961 reprint. It is 88 pages long and includes a forward by then Director of the National Park Service, Conrad L. Wirth. |
