Light metal one piece sheath for German Trench Bayonet 1970.014.002a. Oval shaped with hook off one side to hold it in leather scabbord. Blunt ball tip with reinforced slot for bayonet with a flat spring inside apparently riveted - shich holds bayonet secure. Starts 1.5" in. Marks: On back of leather holder appear some ink stampings but they are not legible. Early date approximate |
