Description |
Austrian steel bayonet that attaches to a rifle. Wood hand grip screwed to extension of blade with long steel guard with hole in one end and ball on other. It has a flat side and slot with catch for attaching to rifle at butt end. Blade grooved both sides with one cutting edge. Appears to be lightly serrated full length of blade and upper part for 14.1 cm. Spear pointed. Has been blackened and greased. Marks: on guard stamped in metal "BL5330." Stamped on blade at guard "Berni" early date approximate |
