Cream of Tartar tin can, rectangular with red paper wrapper, the top part of which is torn away. The lid extends down sides .8 cm and may be removed, but has a 2.7 cm perforated disk with 2 "ears" that turns and allow the spice to shake out. Marks: Back and front of paper wrapper reads "Moreys/ Solitaire/ Trade Mark Reg- Brand US Pat Off/ Spices/ Pure/ Cr Tartar/ packed by/ The C.S. Morey Mer. Co./ Denver/ Colo." On one narrow side of can it reads "Guaranteed by/ The C.S. Morey/ Mer. Co. under the/ Food and Drugs/ act. June 30, 1906/ No. 5602. Other narrow side reads "Pure Spices" |
