Description |
Hoop of light colored wood. The inner ring has a small groove running around the upper surface to hold the outer ring. It has been wrapped with clothe and stitched by hand for 9.7 cm for greater tension. The outer ring is a wire string with 1.2 cm wood beads which fit into the groove in inner ring. The wire attaches at each end to a metal clamp which opens and closes for placing on inner ring. At one end is a spring for tension. This hoop came from the Alex Boyd home in Moraine Park. The Boyds came in 1908 and the house has been razed by the NP service. Marks: Inside inner ring in pencil "93/ 4/ 10" and "N". Also a patch of purple ink plus a name in purple with "Trade/ Patd/ Mark" to right of name. |
