1982.025.015 - Pole, Ski

Pair steel shafted poles with bamboo and rawhide baskets. Steel tipped and painted red. Basket is attached to base of pole by a cotter pin in a housing. At upper end of pole is a rubber grip to which is visited attached a rawhide wrist band.

Pair of bamboo shafted poles painted red, with steel points. The basket is an aluminum ring with 4 straps of black raw hide riveted to ring and held in cotter by a cotter pin. Rawhide wrist bands are attached to ends with brass rivets.

Pair aluminum ski poles with 6 leather straps riveted to an aluminum ring at bottom forming basket. Straps held to pole by a cotter pin. Upper end has leather hand straps attached to end wit ha copper rivet. The green leather like grips have been taped over. Basket ends have sharp point. Bamboo ski pole with aluminum tip. Has a double ring bamboo basket with 4 leather straps riveted to rings on outside, intertwined at pole and held with a cotter pin. In between are 4 leather lacings that hold straps. At other end is a wrist strap going over tip and wrapped around pole and tacked in three places. Painted red and taped at 4 places.

Bamboo ski pole with aluminum tip. Has a single ring bamboo making the basket with four leather straps riveted to ring on outside; intertwined at pole and held under 2 straps copper riveted to pole. In between are 4 leather lacings that held straps. At other end is a canvas wrist strap copper riveted to pole and bound with tape. Painted gray and taped at 5 places.

Bamboo pole with bamboo basket. Basket has 2 circular rings held to pole with cross straps which in turn were held to rings by thongs. Brass tube with iron tip attached to pole under basket with a bent wire going through brass. A great part of pole is wrapped with electricians black friction tape as are the basket rings. There is a thong wrist loop at top that has been split and passed through a hole in the bamboo.

Brass tube with iron tip attached to pole under basket with a bent nail. It is wrapped almost full length with black electricians friction tape. There is a thong wrist loop at top that has been split and passed through a hole in the bamboo.
