Acrylic painting by Lyman Byxbe titled "Longs Peak from Bear Lake." Painted on hand-stretched canvas, the view looks across Bear Lake with rocks and yellow aspen trees visible in foreground, Longs Peak visible in background. Painting purchased by donor's father and his law partner in early 1950s from Byxbe Gallery in Estes Park. Painting was still wet at time of purchase and sent to them in Iowa several weeks later. It hung in their law off...
