Light metal one piece sheath for German Trench Bayonet 1970.014.002a. Oval shaped with hook off one side to hold it in leather scabbord. Blunt ball tip with reinforced slot for bayonet with a flat spring inside apparently riveted - shich holds bayonet secure. Starts 1.5" in. 1970.014.002c - Sheath
Leather strap holder, part of metal sheath 1970.014.002b. It is a leather backing bent over at top riveted at each side with 3 brass rivets which form a long loop for belt. There are 3 cuts through the center of which the hook on sheath projects. At tip a second piece of leather has been stitched on - the upper piece 5.6 cm wide. Apparently the stitching originally went in 2 lines up sides to slits, but only holes remain.
